Hugh Potter Gets His Feet Wet in North West Triathlon!

For reasons now lost in the bonfire smoke at a November 5th party in 2007.....Hugh Potter decided to enter the 'North West Classic Triathlon' held in Nantwich on Sunday 21st September 2008. We can only guess as to why - particularly as the Triathlon involved a 500 metre swim (and Hugh couldn't swim a length at his local baths!).
He was a little more confident about completing the 20k bike ride and the 5k run and set himself a target time of 1 hour and 30 mins - a little ambitious - or so he thought..... By some minor miracle (and with the assistance of many, many swimming lessons) he finished the course - (perhaps he grew gills??) in a respectable 1 hour 21 minutes and 7 seconds!
He now says he might compete in a full Triathlon next year.................so watch this space.
